Olivier Chastan’s acquisition automobile Iconoclast has acquired once more.
The corporate has purchased the music publishing catalog of British songwriter and producer Dave Taylor, aka Change.
Greatest often called the co-founder, alongside Diplo, of digital dance music group Main Lazer, Taylor, recognized professionally as Change, has collaborated with artists equivalent to M.I.A., Beyonce (for whom he wrote Run the World (Women), Santigold, Chaka Khan, Christina Aguilera, and Brandy.
In 2009, Change was nominated for a Grammy Tune of the 12 months Award for M.I.A.’s Paper Planes (licensed 3x Platinum by the RIAA) from the album Kala (2007), which he co-produced with Diplo.
Along with Kala, he produced tracks from her albums Arular (2005), Maya (2010), and Matangi (2013).
Most lately Change produced and co-wrote the 2019 album Hiya Happiness by Chaka Khan that includes the hit single Like Sugar.
Along with his manufacturing credit, Change has completed remixes for artists throughout a number of genres, together with The Chemical Brothers, Robbie Williams, Bjork, TV on the Radio, and Kylie Minogue.
The catalog contains extra hit songs equivalent to Run The World for Beyonce and Pon The Ground and Get Free for Main Lazer.
Based in 2021 and led by veteran music govt Olivier Chastan, Iconoclast says that it “operates on the intersection of brand name administration and know-how to protect and develop the mental property and legacy of culturally vital artists”.
In February, Iconoclast acquired the catalog of Mad Respectable Publishing, co-founded by DJ and producer Diplo and Kevin Kusastsu.
In March, Iconoclast snapped up the music publishing catalog of Woman Gaga co-writer and producer Nick Monson.
In July 2022, veteran music govt and producer Irv Gotti (Irving Lorenzo), the founding father of rap label Homicide Inc, offered a stake in his grasp recordings to Iconoclast in a deal price $300 million.
Olivier Chastan was beforehand CEO at Irving Azoff’s Iconic Artists Group, which in 2021 acquired catalogs from the likes of the Seashore Boys, David Crosby, and Linda Ronstadt.
